To date Innovative Community Solutions has sponsored the Eastern Panhandle Black History Month program. Contests highlighted historical figures that were icons and entrepreneurs. Prizes given were electronics and technology tools that the students competed to win. Over 3,000 students have participated in the contests. The program is well received in the community.
Innovative Community Solutions also volunteers at participating schools for Hour of Code when requests are received. Service to the community is a big part of how we hope to increase the number of youth interested in the technology field.
We are honored to be recognized at South Middle School in Martinsburg as they celebrate Black History Month by highlighting Youth Entrepreneurship. Youth Entrepreneurship is a topic we stand behind and support as one of our main impact areas. We are happy to share with the students a valuable resource to encourage them to think with an entrepreneurial mindset. Please see Student Business Model Canvas below.
