Project Description

Second Chance for Previously Incarcerated Veterans

Previously incarcerated individuals are at a higher risk of recidivism due to the fact they are typically unemployed 2-3 years after they have been released from prison.  In combatting some of the many issues veterans deal with we propose to give them tools to look at employment from a different angle, as an entrepreneur.

Our innovative program will work with veterans to look at themselves and assess what entrepreneurial path will best fit their personality, goals and their real situational position as it is today.  It is not your typical approach to teaching “Business Start-Up 101”.  It is customized and it is timely.

Personal Business Model Development

We take a personal assessment on the individual level.

The Key Resource is You

The insights gained from the personal assessment glean insights we try to align in the next phase of the training.

Business Model Development

Compare and Develop Personal Model and Business Model.

Understanding the value you provide.

Similar language used in developing the Personal Model is used to develop and define the business model.

Veterans have sacrificed the ultimate gift for our freedom.  We owe them a second chance.

Please consider adding Innovative Community Solutions as one of the organizations you will consider when you donate and support.    Veterans and previously incarcerated veterans are only one of the groups we support.  Our organization services  the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia currently, with hopes this program pilot will be scalable.  With your assistance we can make that goal a reality.
